Mobile apps for iPhone and Android, built in Whitby

One app, built once, that runs on iPhone and Android, for work that only makes sense in a pocket, on site or offline.

An app makes sense when you need the phone's camera, its location or notifications, or when people will open it every day and would only ever visit a website once. If a website would do the job, we will tell you, because it is simpler to build and easier for people to find.

We build the app once and it runs on both iPhone and Android. We submit it to both stores under your own developer accounts, so the app stays yours.

This is you if

  • The thing only makes sense in a pocket, on site, or offline
  • You need the camera, location, or notifications
  • A website would work, but people will not keep visiting one

What you get

  • One app, built once, running on iOS and Android
  • Accounts, if it needs them
  • Submission to both stores under your developer accounts
  • A screen for you to see what is happening

What this is not

  • The App Store and Google Play developer accounts. Those stay in your name
  • Appeals to the app stores after launch
  • Games, or anything that leans on 3D

How it goes.

  1. We look at the job first

What people do with it, where they are when they do it, and whether it needs to work without a signal.

  2. We scope it

An app is worth scoping carefully. We write down what is in the first version and what waits for later.

  3. We build and test it

One app for both phones. You try it on your own, and we change what needs changing.

  4. We submit it to the stores

Under your developer accounts. Store review adds a week or two that nobody controls.

How long
We scope it after we've seen the job. Store review adds a week or two that nobody controls.

Questions people ask.

Do I need developer accounts?

Yes. The App Store and Google Play accounts stay in your name, and we submit the app under them.

How long does an app take?

We scope it after we have seen the job. Store review adds a week or two that nobody controls.

Can you build a game?

No. Games, and anything that leans on 3D, are outside what we build.
